ChildFirst is a nationally recognized, research based training for social workers, law enforcement, medical personnel or others who conduct forensic interviews of victims of child sexual abuse and physical abuse.
The training is offered by the Cumberland County Department of Social Services in conjunction with our community partners.
ChildFirst training provides the people who attend the training with the research and information they need to successfully defend forensic interviews they have done when  testifying in court proceedings.
North Carolina is one of 19 states and two countries that offer the ChildFirst training
